Are You So Called?

Although Diocesan Convention is still nearly five months away, the time to consider whether you may be called to serve as an elected deputy or committee/commission member is now.  This year’s deadline to apply is July 1.

Delegates to the 173rd Diocesan Convention in Terre Haute October 21-23 will be electing:

  • Four lay and four clergy General Convention Deputies to the 2012 General Convention, to be held in Indianapolis.
  • One clergy and one lay member of Standing Committee.
  • One clergy and one lay member of the Commission on Ministry.
  • One clergy and one lay member of the Ecclesiastical Trial Court.
  • Two members (clergy or lay) to the Waycross Board.

Deaneries will also be electing representatives to the diocesan Executive Council for a three-year term.  For more information on the election process, contact the diocesan office.  You can submit your application here.
